Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Seattle Mariners recalled pitcher Ian Snell from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday and he's expected to start Sunday against the Texas Rangers. Snell, a right-hander, takes the place of Jarrod Washburn, who was traded to Detroit earlier Friday. The 27-year-old Snell and shortstop Jack Wilson were acquired by the Mariners on Wednesday from Pittsburgh. Snell was 2-8 with a 5.36 ERA in 15 starts for the Pirates this season.
